Let me start out by saying I NEVER thought I would eat/try Sushi. I tend to stay away from anything raw due to a sensitive stomach. My boyfriend was researching different Sushi places and he came across Inari. The website alone with the pics grab you. It was about a 20 mile drive for us but WELL worth the trip. We went there for my guys 40th birthday. It is a very nice yet small place. The nice thing was that it was not packed yet it was Wednesday evening. We were able to score the only both. The seats were a bit uncomfortable though. It's like they were not wide enough for the legs. We managed though. :) I/we started with the roll that had cooked shrimp in it. They called it Godzilla. It had shrimp, avacado, cucumber and yummo cream cheese! The rice was fresh and of course so was everything else. It was SO tasty. We also tried the beef skewers that came with a coconut dipping sauce. OMG I wish they sold that sauce! The meat was cooked PERFECT. For the entree I tried their Chicken Teriyaki and it was wonderful. My guy ordered the Rainbow sushi rolls for his main dish. They had assorted fish on top that he just loved. He was very happy with his birthday dinner. YAY! They surprised us with a free dessert which was very good too. Drink prices were ok. My glass of wine was about average $7.00 but his $8.00 mixed drink was in a small glass. It is closer to the city so that could be one reason. We are used to tall glasses of mixed drinks for that price. No big deal though we were out to celebrate a big birthday. LOL ;) Restroom was small but nice and clean. :) Waitress was very nice and very helpful with answering our many questions. We will definately go back when the weather is warmer. I/we will also be trying more Sushi places closer to home and whereever else grabs our attention. Thanks to the staff for a great evening!

Good sushi for western suburbs. However I feel like its decor is meant to be more lounge-y. But the the place is small and cozy. Not a deal breaker though. And it's not quiet like a lounge should be.

I had one of my sushi cravings, but this time during lunch at work! There aren't many sushi places in the area, but I came across Inari and my friend and I thought we'd give it a try. We really enjoyed Inari! The food was really good and our waitress was very nice. It's hard to gauge what it's normally like there though, because we went at 11:45 in the morning, so there was no one there and the service was very fast. My friend got the Salmon teriyaki bento box which looked very delicious and she loved it; and I of course got sushi - the philadelphia and yellow tail was pretty good, but the fire dragon i got was AMAZING! it looked like they had some cool alcoholic drinks as well! My only concern with the place is how expensive it is. They have lunch specials, but it's still pricy in my opinion - my friend's bento box was still $15. It was nice though because they did have sushi specials... one of them being 2 rolls for $9, but it's only the basic type sushis. Anyway, my friend and I will definitely be back.... although probably just for more special occasion lunches because of the price.

Pretty good sushi... For the area. Creative rolls, they deliver to my house, and it's miles better than the other sushi restaurants in the area. I will be ordering delivery/stopping by to dine in again!

Whenever i go, or have them deliver, I always get the most amazing delicious food! I can always tell when sushi isnt fresh, but ive never had that problem at Inari. sooo delicious. I'm in loveee with the philly and spicy shrimp rolls. I usually get the lunch special which is like $9, uhm helllo that price for food that good is one amazing deal. It comes with two maki rolls and miso soup, which is also friggen delicious. They're always super nice and attentive and i am a loyal devoted customer!

Great stop for a quick lunch with very good quality sushi. They have a $13 sushi lunch special which includes miso soup, 5 pieces of sushi, and a spicy-tuna maki. My favorites, yellow-tail and super-white tuna were served with my lunch special. The spicy tuna, sadly, has no discernible pieces of tuna in it, kind of a puree, but it is very tasty. The lunch special is a great deal for the price.

Went to Inari on a Friday night and was told it was under new management, which I didn't mind since I hadn't been here before. My experience was truly delightful. The decor and ambiance was nice and I loved the fact that there's al fresco dining. The rolls are inventive and comparable to the top sushi places I've been to in the city. My biggest pet peeve about a sushi place is when they jam their rolls full of rice with minimal fish. The rice to fish ratio was just perfect. The service was top notch, very attentive servers. I also had their Snow White drink (sake based) which was to die for and I wound up drinking 3 of them by the end of the night. I love this place so much that I think I might just try and make it out here on a more regular basis.

To start, we live in the city and I must say....the 20 min drive to Elmwood Park is well worth the drive if you're a sushi fan. My girlfriend and I have frequented Inari quite a few times but I never had a chance to right a review here on Yelp. Walking in, you are greeted with welcoming smiles as you are seated at your table. Right off the bat we ordered a tangy/spicy cream tempura shrimp which was delicious. When it came to ordering the sushi...all I have to say is this was by far the freshest sushi that I've had in quite some time. These guys order premium fish and you can taste the difference......a heck of a lot better than most Chicago sushi bars. One dish I recommend everyone to try is the Uni. It has a very distinct taste..but if you're a fan of oysters...then you'll love the way this hits your stomach. My girlfriend ordered this and only left me one piece so I guess I'll have to order my own portion next time!! Anyways, Inari definitely exceeds expectations in my eyes, Perfect location, nice and attentive staff, and pleasant atmosphere. PS...if you get a chance, ask the manager with the spikey hair to do his infamous Zohan impersonation....it's the best! We love Inari =)

Great sushi! When it comes to serving raw fish, it has to be right. This was. The fish was great, and fresh. And the prices were comparable to the fish. All in all, a great meal. I did special order a roll though, as I've done in other sushi restaurants, and it took a few moments of confusion and an additional server to comprehend my request. (I'd asked for a Rainbow Roll over a Spicy Tuna Roll, as opposed to the traditional California Roll.). Also, I noticed that the waitress hovered our table and continuously asked if we were ready to order....however the menus were still in our hands. Oh, and the hot green tea had a somewhat 'fishy' after taste. Not sure why???

Went back now that the place is under new ownership and gave things another try. Gone are the pretentious plates and dishes, which is a plus. Still here are plenty of sushi options, but nothing is really that "special". Typical shumai that EVERY restaurant has out of a frozen or refrigerated pack. Just once I would like someone to try makng the easy dumplings from scratch - I'll even give you a recipe for them. The sweet potato fries are cute - tempura sweet potato shoestrings. The veggie sushi plate certainly has a ton of pieces, so the value is much better than before. I just can't say that this is a real "draw", but if you are in the area and crave some good sushi, I wouldn't hesitate to go here.

I love Inari Sushi! I come here at least once a month ! I have tried other sushi places in the suburbs, but Inari beats them all!! great sushi and friendly staff !! In the summer it's great because you can sit outside! I highly recommend Inari Sushi!

I found out from reading other reviews that Inari is under new management. This may explain why the wait staff seemed a bit fresh and not able to make many recommendations. We dined on the patio. The drinks are more on the expensive side and the mojitos are small and overly iced. I was happy with the martini. The food was very fresh and yummy. I had the philly and spicy shrimp rolls. My friend had the salmon entree. We were both happy with the taste. It's a bit more expensive but definitely worth it.

I had a pretty disappointing experience at Inari. We had a taste for sushi but didn't want to go to the city so we chose Inari. I don't know if they were understaffed (2 waitresses for the entire place) or what but the service was soooooooooooooo slow. We were there from 8-10pm and we did not have entrees, we just had sushi! We made the mistake of ordering one more roll and it took half hour just for that extra roll. I really wanted to try their dessert but could not sit around for another half hour. I didn't think their sushi was that great - especially their special maki rolls. Although they looked great, they were pretty bland. I felt like it was more rice than filling. Their basic rolls are decent, but only with soy sauce. The sashimi was good. The tiny tiny bowl of edamame for $4.95 was a joke. I had a skinny margarita and could taste no tequila. And the kicker - there were three lipstick stains on my glass. And I was not wearing lipstick - I used a straw too. That was just gross. I may give this place another try when it warms up - they have nice outdoor seating. Fuji-Ya in Norridge is not as fancy, but their sushi is much much better.

Fantastic! These guys do a lot of interesting special maki rolls. The "Latin Bliss" was loaded with super white tuna, smoked salmon, and a lot of spice (jalapenos, Sirachi sauce, spicy mayo) -YUM! The Fiesta was equally awesome, as was the Flaming Dragon (actually served flaming!). Starters are nice too. The smoked salmon salad alone is worth a drive to this place. And don't miss the garlic edamame. First time our whole family ate in here, but they do nice take out too (obviously minus the theatre). Nice service, our waitress was perfect. And the room, while on the small-to-medium side, is nicely appointed with a just right music track - kind of clubby, kind of jazzy, perfect for the mood. Eat this stuff!

I liked it! I love the UDON soup and the coctails are fab!! I like the Mojito here...its not like a normal one!! The sushi is good. It is a little pricey...but its worth it!! Seating outside is very nice, esp on a hot day in the city!!

Not only is the food great here, but Fridays are karaoke night with Elite Entertainment DJ / Karaoke. We had such a blast last night at this place. Chuck and Regina of Elite hosted and were so much fun! It was such a unique experience to have such good quality sushi and then get to embarrass myself and sing at the top of my longs. Gotta love the large size Sapporo beer. They help build your confidence for the karaoke! BIG shout out to waitress Kristen! She was so sweet! We were all best buds by the end of the night. I hope to rally a few friends to attend next week. Can't wait to see what else I can belt out!

Pretty good sushi. Somehow the tempura sushi stayed crunchy all the way to the airport (BTW, sushi is the best food to carry-on or eat at the gate). Staff was very friendly, and we chatted easily while I waited for my takeout. I intend to stop in for a sit-down experience sometime.

Dude - Fried PB&J for desert! I'd go here again just for that!!! I have only been here once but had a good experience. This is a good neighborhood spot for sushi. Yes, I have been to many sushi restaurants that I thought were better than Inari for one reason or another but for the location I doubt you'll find any better within a 5 mile radius. The only problem I had with Inari was that some poor waitress was all on her own trying to cover a full house. The food took longer to get as was expected but I can only fault management or perhaps a waitress/waiter with a bad work ethic. The three maki rolls that I sampled all tasted great and the fish tasted fresh (which basically means there was little flavor outside of the spices and sauces)

I went here earlier for dinner with my date on a Saturday night. It wasn't overly crowded so we were seated right away. The place was decent, not so big, simply decorated with an interesting Buddha wall sculpture that my date really liked. I think its a good place for a date more than a group of people. We had a groupon so we kept our orders within a certain price range (students in debt lol). I read on yelp about the Chef Specialty Roll, Flaming Dragon, so I wanted to give that a try to spice up the date haha! We also ordered the Spider Maki and the Chicken Filet. Our female waitress was really nice I might add. The Spider Maki came out first, and I wasn't really impressed by the appearance. There were only five pieces in which I wasn't sure how we were going to split it between the two of us. A little suggestion...maybe try to make the roll a bit longer to make six pieces? The taste was decent but nothing impressive. The Chicken Filet came out next. It was a pretty decent portion, enough fill up the two of us. The grilled chicken was nicely cooked and the teriyaki sauce wasn't too over powering. I wished that the chicken was a little more seasoned since the pieces without the teriyaki sauce was bland, but that's just my preference (I like my food well seasoned). LASTLY, the FLAMING DRAGON came out and WOW did it made in entrance!!! The actual sushi was ON FIRE and seriously people were all staring at our table. I love the attention lol! BUTTT...what really stood out to me was that one of the sparks flew onto my dates hand. He screamed and backed away. I felt like a jerk, but I couldn't stop laughing since he usually tries to act tough around me :P. Lol, oh poor guy was so embarrassed. The sushi was pretty good and was a pretty nice decent roll. I guess the owner felt bad for the incident, so he gave us a free desert, the Molten Chocolate Cake. It was delicious! We both finished every last bit of it lol! Overall, I thought the place was decent, and I definitely had a good time due to the incident. Something I can make fun of my date for. I guess if it was other customers, they would probably sue, complain, and etc....but we're not those type of people. Lucky for them I would say :P.

The sushi is VERY good, with an obvious emphasis on very, but the service absolutely sucks. I have gone in multiple occasions with my girlfriend, and have left almost two hours later when there was barely anyone else in the restaurant. Not to mention that I had only 5 rolls for two people. Fix the service and you're in the upper echelon of restaurants.

Mmmmm, just got back from a meal here and i was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. I'm not much of a sushi person, normally sticking to vegetarian options because the whole raw fish thing kind of weirds me out. But I have to say the selections at Inari helped me get over that fear. I had the spicy tuna, which in my opinion had just enough spice to enjoy the entire roll without feeling overwhelmed at the end. Also had the Satsumaimo. LOVED that one. I seriously want to go back ... now ... for more. Also had miso soup. Could take or leave that, but generally I'm not there for the miso. I'm going back for the sushi! Dessert menu looked amazing. Service was great, very considerate and stopped by several times to make sure drinks were filled and we were enjoying our meal.

With Chicago as its big sister to the East, I don't get why sushi never migrated further up North Avenue. It's as though the tuna sashimi crossed its arms and shook its head once it got to Western. Oak Park was without sushi until about a year ago. And if there's ANY 'burb that might rival the likes of Mirai, Friends and Tank, well shoooot. . . it's the United Nations in the 60302. Now granted, Elmwood Park is NOT Oak Park. Growing up, it was a million miles away on a Huffy and even more when it came to hairdos, but over the years the divider line is blurring and this particular strip of EP is rather refined. Within the same block you can get a beef sandwich at Johnny's, hong su shrimp at New Star, eggplant parmesan at Peppino's. It's pretty righteous. My mom and I were excited to try Inari the first time, many moons ago. It was new, small and seemingly effortlessly chic. We enjoyed it enough to give it a whirl again. Now, my mom eats sushi with a fork. She also doesn't eat raw fish. So there were plenty of things on the Inari menu to choose from. And that's kind of the problem. The building blocks of the American sushi enterprise are not in place at Inari. They do a fine job with the experimental maki. We liked the Mediterranean Roll, because who doesn't love feta and sundried tomatoes. But, the shrimp tempura? Meh. Spicy tuna. Fine enough. We did love the snowball crab cakes, which were composed of what looked like Matchstick Potato Chips and creamy, crabby, delightfully savory filling. A six-piece of those, a glass of white and pillow talk could be lovely. If you've come a bit West, perhaps on your way to Kiddieland, O'Hare or getting to know my boy Frank Lloyd Wright, have no shame to stop here. The parking is ample, there are patrons and passersby to oogle. But save the carbon credits if you're coming from anywhere but the 708.

I love this place. Dine here atleast 3 times a month. Food is always fresh. The crab cakes are amazing. Ive tried several menu items, and I dont think I have a favorite yet. The staff is really nice, all the time. Casual environment yet chic, very stylish. I really recommend this restaurant. Especially for people who have never ate sushi before, the menu is not overwhelming. Even for those experienced sushi eaters. This place is nice and laid back. This restaurant proves you do not have to travel to the loop to get good sushi.

This place was pretty effing good. Went there tonight my mom bought a Groupon. We bought the godzilla rolls and the rainbow rolls. The sushi was awesome!!! The only thing I was a bit disapointed in was the miso soup. It tasted a little funky. Miso soup is to asian food as is salsa to mexican food so I was mad that it tasted weird. However. if you wanted to try this place go ahead because the sushi is amazing. We will definitely go back those godzilla rolls were amazing. Probably the best I have had.

Sushi in EP? Who would think? The cocktails are great, and they were very accommodating when we brought our two young children. The menu is good but the prices are a little high for what is just okay food. We will go there because it is close, but we are not in love. 6/5/2010 I just came back and knocked it down a star. I was there last Friday and the service was HORRIBLE. I went with my daughter and it was early. There were tables with guests. We didn't order anything special and it took 45 minutes easy to receive our food. No apologies or anything.

I was really excited about this place opening up because I love sushi and we really needed a new sushi place.. but it turned out to be a disappointment. The miso soup is okay. The freshness of the fish is not the best. Their pink Cadillac roll is the most unappetizing thing I've ever seen. The atmosphere is also a disappointment. When my husband and I went on a weekend, the place was packed with high school kids. Really really obnoxious high school kids that neither ordered real sushi or used real chopsticks. This place is owned by the same people that own Massa next door. They should really just stick to making gelato. If I want great sushi, I make the 15 minute drive down Division to Mirai in Wicker Park.

I really wanted to like this place. It's close to home and the menu had some creativity to it. But the service - oh my! Once we finally received our salad, the empty plates sat on the table until our sushi arrived, about 50 minutes later. Apparently there was only 1 sushi chef, and the place was packed. The server handled the long wait by being virtually invisible. The sushi itself was unremarkable and overpriced for the portion.

Wow, incredible sushi in Elmwood Park! The Godzilla roll was killer! Everything fresh and tasty, excellent service and an owner who cares to go around to ask what you think. Try it, you will love it!

Meh is right. Ok, look, we all know that the Oak Park/North Ave. scene can be a bit spotty when it comes to dining options. Yet, I continually venture out to try new places. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised. And other times, I'm not. This was a case of the latter. So, the plan for the past week was that the GF and myself were going to go get sushi and drinks on Monday night once I got back from traveling. We were going to go to Sen Sushi, but unfortunately it was closed (don't go to Sen sushi... it's amazing, priced really well, all-around-awesome, and completely mine... please stay away). So, we could've gone to Sagano (boo overpriced), or Sushi House (lame, overpriced chain), but then I remembered seeing Inari the other day on North so we thought we'd give it a try... We should've trusted our instincts when we walked in: something just didn't feel right. It smelled like fish... and mildly like cigarette smoke. We walked in, there were two other tables with people at them in the entire place, the sushi chef (NOT asian) just stared at us in the doorway. Seriously, just stared at us. No help, no indication of where to sit, no, "I'll grab a server for you"... nothing. A minute or two goes by and the ONE waitress working shows up and seats us. No apologies for waiting. Actually, she acted sort of irritated that we pulled her away from whatever it was she was doing in the back (which was probably smoking cigs, since that weird smell was in the air). Anyways, service took FOREVER. This waitress would drop off the menus and then disappear for 7 minutes. Come back for a drink order and then take another 5 mins to get the drinks. Etc., etc. Mind you, there were only two other parties in the place, and this place is tiny. Plus, she just had an overall crappy attitude. In fact, I'm getting re-irritated thinking about it. I'll move on... We ordered edamame and 4 rolls. She didn't write anything down. She should've, because 20-30 mins later when we saw her again, she brought us 4 rolls, one of which was completely wrong, and no edamame. Awesome. Thanks for the Spider roll, but I wasn't looking for deep-fried softshell crab. We point out the mistake to us, and she acts like she already KNEW she made a mistake. She's all, "oh yeah I know, you guys can have the Spider roll for free... I'll get you the other one as soon as it's ready." To her credit, she didn't mess up the bill. After all this, I was fully expecting to see edamame and the extra roll charged on the tab. They weren't, which is one of the reasons she received any tip at all. As for the food, it was solidly mediocre. I thought all the rolls were too warm... like room temp. Because of that, the fish wasn't firm, but was slimy and mushy. The rolls squished when you picked the pieces up. Asthetically, it just wasn't appealing. None of the flavors seemed balanced... the tempura was too heavy, nothing really tasted all that fresh. It felt sort of like fast-food sushi, if that makes any sense. Long story short, I won't go back. My GF didn't seem to have problems with the food, so maybe I was just being picky. But I'd prefer Jewel or Trader Joe's sushi to this place, and that's a way cheaper option, with more efficient service.

I brought a date here Friday night. I'd been here and thought it'd be a good local place to impress a girl. We were seated and sat for almost 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. In that time, a waitress tended to the table next to us several times. After a while, we were so insulted that we just got up and left. Safe to say that I (we) won't be going back.

Overall, a good sushi place. It is not super far from where we live on the Northwest side, and parking is plentiful, so that's convenient. We visited on a Wednesday around 6PM and did their Happy Hour menu with half-price rolls and beer. I have to admit I would probably not pay full price for the food we got, but for what we paid, it was fine.

My husband and I went to Inari for dinner on a sunday evening. We had been there before but weren't very impressed. We decided to give it another shot because we found a groupon for it and it was much better the second time around. It is a small place and was not crowed when we went. We ordered miso soup, Escolar and Hamachi nigiri and Spider, Pink Cadillac and Godzilla rolls. All of our selections were great! Although it took a while for us to get waited on, our waitress was very polite and always came by to check if we needed anything. We thought the signature sushi rolls were on the pricey side for what they were. Overall this is a good sushi place for something close to home.

Ambiance is nice. Staff attentive. Prices more expensive than I would have expected. (Don't order drinks, even non-alcoholic. for example $5 for tea) Sushi is average. Will not go back with my family of 6. Not enough bang for our buck.

Have been here for sushi before, don't remember it being so good. Love that it is also BYOB. They have happy hour until 6:30 which makes for a very reasonably priced meal. Though note, you can't use the Groupon in combo with happy hour prices. Service was a little slow, but over all enjoy the place. BYOB for a $5 corking fee. Alaskan is a great straight up fresh seafood roll, Spicy Salmon was good though not a ton of spice, Hawaiian was excellent! The Mora maki was beautifully served and really great, the sauces it is served with are tasty. This roll is a mix of spicy shrimp, tako, scallop and asparagus topped with green tempura crunch and topped with black and red tobikko, unagi sauce, wasabi mayo and spicy mayo

Tried this place out as Sushi spots anywhere near my neck of the woods are few and far between. Started off the the pork xiomi (I know I slaughtered the spelling on this, my apologies) The filling was nothing special, just average. The same goes for the crab rangoon. As for the sushi rolls we ordered spicy tuna, spicy scallop, and California make rolls and they were ok. They had some taste to them but nothing really jumped out at me about it. And the server was great and as cute as a China doll. She seemed to be intrigued that I could intake such ungodly amounts of liquid which I thought was pretty funny. Overall everything was average, the cocktails were nice and strong and the prices are reasonable. Fits the bill if you are in the area craving a sushi fix, but not worth traveling for.

We try to come to Inari once a week. It's a great family restaurant - my 6 year old loves the Miso soup (with extra tofu, which they always happily supply her with), edamame, and Spider Roll. The wait staff is incredibly friendly, they always remember us and the service is great. I LOVE the rock tiger shrimp appetizer. The sushi is very fresh and their specialty rolls are very innovative and tasty. I'm a sushi snob and this is by far the best sushi restaurant within a 15 minute drive of Oak Park. For dessert, we always walk next door to their sister restaurant, Massa Cafe, for homemade gelato, which is superb and the perfect way to cap off a perfect dinner.

Best thing on the menu is for sure the calamari. It's the best I've ever had. It's ligtly breaded, not thicker then the fish like at most places. The sauces are the best! The sushi is pretty good. A little overpriced and small selection, but very fresh. The staff is pretty friendly.

New owners. Was better, now our new favorite. It was much improved with the new ownership. The special Ravioli role, melted in our mouths. We'll definately be back. The heated seating outside in January was perfect.

Went to Inari for the second time last night, and was really disappointed. The sushi didn't seem very fresh and the rolls we had were kind of bland. Plus, it was really expensive! $110 for just my husband and me. Left feeling cheated.

Went to eat here for the first time this evening because we had a Groupon...I like that there was an enclosed outdoor patio, it caught my attention right away as we entered inside. Greeted and seated by the hostess. Had to show our groupon to our server, Sophie and she was cool with it...unlike some places, where the servers tuck in their mind, ughhh, not another groupon=not going to get a good tip...(lol) Ordered hot tea, green tea with a toasted rice flavor, which our server did mention. Miso soup was good...went straight for the rolls tonight. We ordered, dragon roll, godzilla roll, crunch roll, and spider roll. Presentation was beautiful, taste was really good...Dragon roll is my favorite roll, but I still prefer my favorite sushi restaurant. Our server followed up when needed along with refills, etc. Bathrooms were really clean. Great place to eat and will come back for appetizers and desserts. Not too loud, not too dark...Greeted on the way out from the chefs and even got a $15 card when we come back, which I just might pass on to my friends at work for them to try it out since they love japanese cuisine, if I am nice ;) otherwise I will definitely make use of it. Couldnt recall if it was kid friendly...It also looked like a private table for 2 in the back of the restaurant which i thought was neat...Overall, a great local place for good sushi, reasonable prices, definitely great service, and would like to try drinks, apps, and dessert next time and the chef specialty roll menu as well....4 stars for great service and good food!

The place looks nice inside. I was very pleased with the food. Our sever was very friendly but she made a minor mistake and I over heard the management scold her, it was very disrespectful and it's a shame because I probably won't ever eat here again because of it. Booooo learn how to talk to people.

Cocktails were great... especially the pear martini (really tasted like pear juice with thickness to it). The Caprese Roll was shockingly good -- not really sushi, but very big and tasty! Could be a meal in itself. The other rolls we got were above average quality and well presented. Service was very quick, but the place was pretty empty at 6:30pm on a weekday. Very expensive dinner for 2... over $130 bucks with tip. Granted half of that was drinks! I'd go again, but order less food. The rolls are were large portions.

Decent Sushi, convenient location. Went there for lunch, had a platter. not bad, but I think there are probably better places to be found.

Not many good sushi places around here; and by far Inari is the best. Only downside is the service- it takes maybe a half hour usually to get your food. my family is friends with two people that are actually from japan- one was a guest in august of 2009, and my Japanese tutor came to USA just 5 months ago. the guest we had and my tutor both say it tastes very fresh like the sushi in Japan.

Chicagoland's winters can be brutal even for lifelong residents. It's dreary, cold and the sidewalks are covered with dingy looking snow by February. And then there's summer. Chicago's summer albeit shorter this year than one would have hoped, has been delightful. I have joyfully taken advantage of patio seating when available because I want to soak it up while I can. Inari's first gold star is for having a patio with a covering for the delicate flower in me. I get fresh air and shade at the same da_n time. Cheers to that! I wish I could tell you that I checked this place out on my own after having seen its patio. But I didn't. I actually would not have expected to find great sushi in the burbs on North Ave but I did thanks to my gal pal who has been a long time patron. My friend has raved about this place for a while. Each time, she would mention it, I would say I would give it a try and then I never do. I believed it to be good but also believe that often times locals often love the neighborhood place for reasons other than the food. She grew up close by so I did not put my stock into it and figured I would get to it eventually. So as fate would have it, she and I met a few weeks back for a bite and she chose her go to place since I never tried it. I enjoyed everything we ordered but the seared tuna, beef wrapped asparagus and garlic edamame were extremely memorable. I liked it so much that I made a second run with the honey later that week. This was a welcomed find. Inari, I heart you.

My first time here for a relative's birthday...Awesome!! The maki (rolls) and everything else was great. Loved the chill atmosphere, comfortable seating and not as claustrophobic as many sushi places which are not only tiny but poorly interior designed and uncomfortable. Very clean, good service by the waitresses, and the chef's even put up with some very typically awkward family who wanted to take pictures with them very nicely and generously. About the only thing I would "knock" is the choice of music piped through the speakers which was typical elevator/restaurant style music. I prefer instrumental only music with a mix of traditional and classical music like what I remember Fuji Grill (another awesome sushi place has). So my top 3 sushi places in the Chicagoland area so far are: 1) Sushi Ya (Schaumburg) 2) Fuji Grill 3) Inari Sushi (pretty much in that order though I have not been Sushi Ya in over two years so no idea if it is still as good as I remember so Inari might be a 2 or even a 1. This will be my new go-to for close good sushi.

Good sushi and decent lunch deals, but apart from a surprisingly varied dessert list, nothing too spectacular. Located in a restaurant strip mall along North Avenue that houses two Italian eateries, a Cuban joint, a Chinese spot, and a tiny Mexican place. Your choices for sushi around the Melrose Park area are extremely limited--it's pretty much either here (Elmwood Park) or in downtown Elmhurst. The sushi nigiri was just okay, but the sashimi was varied and delicious and everything came out on a wooden platform. The servers here are about average; the interior is clean and has a distinctly modern feel to it. Prices are moderate. What's of surprising note is Inari's dessert list, which--apart from the standard green tea ice cream--has cookie dough egg rolls and fried banana wontons on it. I haven't tried either, but I can't see how they'd be anywhere near awful. Plus points for having these as options! Best sushi spot in the area.....which isn't saying much. But still, I'd recommend.

Major disappointment. Went last night and the food was bad with a very loud talkative host. I don't know about you, but when I go to a place I really want to hear the ppl I am with not a loud obnoxious host talking and flirting with another server who got off work from near by. It was weird hearing all that as it was weird walking by the kitchen and seeing her getting a massage from one of the cooks at one point of the night. Talk about a attention seaker. Anyways the sushi was a major let down. Crab cakes were soggy, the rolls I got were very forget able if not awful. I kept hearing a microwave going off and was wondering why, but realized it was our sushi that kept coming to our table super warm. It was just a really bad experience and won't go back. The only good thing was our server. She was attentive and really did not do anything wrong. To bad for that host or bar tender, what ever she was there.

I took my younger sister and my 4 yr old son for dinner here on a Friday night. This was my second time dining here and I have to say that service was a lot better this time around! Our waitress was very patient with my son. My sister and I ordered miso soup. The soup lacked flavor (I've had better). My son ordered the gyoza and a side of steamed rice. He really enjoyed his dinner. My sister and I shared the sushi deluxe and the Ocean View maki. I really enjoyed the maki as it had tuna, snapper, eel, spicy crab, avocado and some tempura crunch with a little drizzle of sweet soy sauce. Yumm! The sushi was very fresh too.

Pretty impressed with the sushi here. I've had it a handful of times and it has always been very fresh and tasty. The Godzilla roll is a favorite of mine. Inari Is a small intimate place, good for a date night. I've never had a problem with service, always friendly and polite. Parking can be a bit hectic on the weekends but i don't mind because the sushi is worth it!!

There is a couple of us that love their lunch special! Three rolls with soup for like $13! Spicy tuna is our favorite! Shrimp tempura is another favorite. They have a couple of great speciality rolls as well, just ask the waitress. Super friendly place!!! Love them! They got great appetizers and desserts too:-)

Terrible Tempura was soggy. Ordered an entree and it did not come with rice nor miso soup Never been to a Japanese restaurant like this Sushi was ok, service was good but not enough Avoid the place at all cost

Compared to other places in the suburbs I've visited, I think that selection and value is lower with the exception of the lunch time sushi deluxe special which is about $16. I've ordered it many times not to be disappointed and the restaurant does to a lot of things the right way. Service is prompt, clean, and like many sushi restaurants most of the food is prepared where you can see it. There's also a full service bar. I would consider coming here more frequently if I lived in the area. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it doesn't feel to me like any innovation is happening here. I'm sad to say that I see a lot of the same dishes I see in other places but with slightly less fish depending what you select. I would love to see more creativity because I believe this team could be very capable and they have a great location.

Been there, ate their amazing diverse sushi meals, rolls, ordered from them many times for office lunch with coworkers, absolutely delicious. The service is great, the chefs are right on, the food coming to the table is fresh and just melting in your mouth. Let's not forget the desert also. Just could not wait till someone would take a picture of the banana tempura. Love it!

Besides the fact that all the staff was on their cell phones during my visit with my two kids I can say a few more things About this place: 1: we ordered three rolls and when I set up my kids with their orders I proceeded to pick up a piece of my roll and despite the darkness of the restaurant I saw a thick black hair rolled into my meal. Trying not to gag at this sight I told the waitress and then she asked me if I did not want to finish it? Really? I looked at her and said no, then she returned and told me I would not be charged for that! 2: the restaurant needs to be hosed down and lit up! I get the whole dark and sexy lighting atmosphere but that only works if you have a place that is organized and clean! 3: the one star was a pity star

Will never come back to this place! Very dark! If you take a closer look at dishes,- it's not clean! The spoon in miso soup was dirty... Probably that is why the interior is that dark, so nobody won't notice dirt everywhere. Sushi are overpriced. Waitress was flying around and didn't pay attention to us, however there were only 4 small tables and she behave so busy... Just looked funny. Very disappointed and not gonna ever come back.

The food is good but the management is awful. I get the same 3 things and the last 4 times I have gone for both pick up and sit down they have been wrong. I can understand things get hectic when it's busy but when I pull the waitress to the side to say that there is fish eggs on the vegetarian Godzilla roll and she tells me that I'm mistaken I got annoyed. Then I pull the male manager to the side to complain I get attitude and no apologies. This happened about 6 months ago and I haven't been back. If it had just been a one time thing I'd have let it slide, but I had issues with my order before and it's the same attitude every time. There are plenty of other places that are just as good, if not better, and more then happy to make sure my meal is correct. I HIGHLY recommend Sen sushi in Oak Park, it is only about 15 minutes from here.

Small space, but great service and food. Took my family here for sushi and the server was so nice to my young kids. She spoke to them on multiple occasions and presented them with chopstick helpers so they could join in the fun of picking up food with something different than the usual. We dined on fried calamari, spicy shrimp and diver scallop maki rolls.

This use to be my favorite Sushi spot in Elmwood Park, not any more! I placed an order online for the Vegetarian Godzilla which was once my favorite, food was NOT FRESH,very sloppy also ordered Latin Bliss rolls the tuna and salmon were awful! Definitely not fresh I had to throw it out! along with my awful seaweed salad. Very disappointed. I'm pretty sure they changed management, avoid this place period! BARF!

I have been here twice in this place and both times I was dissatisfied. The flavor and consistency it's awful! The service is questionable and do are the prices. I really wanted to like this place, but I have to pass and continue to go to Oak Park for better quality sushi!

Overpriced, middle of the road sushi. I am guessing the high prices are because of location? Prices here are higher than some places in downtown Chicago/GoldCoast I have been in. Ridiculous. The fish is fresh, but the rolls are small. There is nothing unique or outstanding about this place. Service was ok when I was there with a female friend of mine. Service was ridiculous when I went with my BF. The waitress (an older woman) was falling all over him dropping hints about cocktail hour sushi specials and how he should come see her since he noticed them and said he passed by there on his route home. She basically ignored me as if I was invisible. She was lucky it was not my turn to treat out. I only went back with my friend because she insisted on going there. I will never go their of my own choosing. Too many other better and more reasonably priced places close-by.

Awful. To go order, spicy tuna roll was smaller than those cucumber rolls from jewel. The other 'crunchy' roll was deep fried. Place stunk too. Will never go again

They have best Uni Sushi. The staff are all very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I'll definitely be going back to Inari Sushi next time when we are in Chicago. The food is very fresh. I highly recommend Inari Sushi.

I was a bit disappointed....Came for lunch this week. Service was rushed and not really friendly. It seemed like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. The rolls I had on the lunch special (3 for $13) were just OK. Miso soup was just OK too. Tried the spicy yellowtail, Philly, and Ebi Tempura. They were ready within 5-7 minutes, which was nice. I had about half left over, which was nicely packaged in a carry out box for me. For the price, I will probably get carry out at lunch on another occasion. However, there are better sushi restaurants, and the service could use some improvement. Actually pretending like you are happy the customer is there would be a nice start.

The food was good, but it took approximately 6.5 hours. I think one of the sushi guys called off because the place was packed, but there was only one guy rolling up sushi rolls. Problem. Kids were whining and restless, I was whining and restless. They gave us complimentary drinks, which was nice, but then I became drunk because I was having alcohol and no food. You just can't have that kind of service on a busy Saturday night. Have a backup sushi expert to call. I will say that the food was very very good, even the cooked food, which is all the b/f will eat. Prices are decent, and food is good enough to pay the amount it costs, but please please have enough workers when you know you're going to be jammed. We saw people get up and leave, which is never good.

Inari has great sushi!! I HATE fishy tasting sushi but inari has fresh fish and a huge variety!! I live the lobster rolls!! Those are my absolute favorite! I would highly recommend these! Their Godzilla rolls, Christmas rolls, and fresh wave rolls are very good too! My only complaint about Inari is that it is a little over priced! It's not downtown sushi! It's just Elmwood Park!... Nothing special! I would still recommend Inari for taste and comfort!

Good food still. I'm a salmon lover. Their salmon sashimi was one of the best I ever had. It was fresh and they cut generous size unlike anywhere else. My cousin ordered live uni. She loved it. Many good cooked food too for someone that's not a raw fish eater. Excellent quality of food & service. I hardly wait to come back again next month.

A friend of mine told us to try this place out since he's a frequent (knowing the owner and everything). We came here on a Thursday night. It was pretty quiet, but we didn't mind. My fiance and I ordered 5 rolls. I actually forgot all five rolls we ate, but I did think they were okay. Both my fiance and I thought it wasn't anything special, but decent sushi. The strange thing is that when we first walked in there was a strange smell..not sure what it was; maybe it was from the towels wiping the tables? The atmosphere is very hip - I liked that. It was relatively dim so if you want to go out on a date night you can give Inari a try. They have assortments of alcohol at the bar, too. The staff were nice; they all said goodbye when we left.

I've been here for lunch and dinner. I love coming to this place! For lunch I always do the Chicken Teriyaki bento box. Its comes with chicken teriyaki with white rice, a delicious salad, veggies, and a california roll. All for $12!! For dinner, I love the Mango Tango and The Volcano roll. They are absolutely delicious!!!!! The servers are very nice and friendly. The place looks amazing and very clean. Their drinks are also tasty. Can't go wrong with this place!!

I was here for dinner tonight and had a wonderful experience! First off I have to say the music was outstanding it gave the place such a good vibe. The place was pretty busy but our server was friendly and on top of everything, she recommend the stay roll which was awesome, we also had the rock shrimp....definitely am addicted. The staff all looked like they enjoyed their job and were having fun together which made us feel very comfortable. I'll b back probably Tuesday for the 2 dollar beers and 5 dollar martinis!

Don't come to this place. Slow mediocre service. There are better sushi restaurants in the area like Zen Sushi and Fuji Grill. It takes forever to get served. This place is so unfriendly. I got served with a broken sake cup and a cold miso soup. After waiting for a long time,I canceled my sushi sashimi order and left.(They still charged me for the cold sake and cold miso soup)The servers don't look at you when they ask for your order like they're doing triage. If you want rude mediocre service, come to this place. I posted my complaint on their facebook page and was erased. Thanks for Yelp. It is here to stay.

Why this place has more than 1 star is blowing my mind right now! I love sushi I eat it all the time....and when I saw that they had 3.5 stars, we had to try....Yelpers you have failed me! This place was the biggest joke in the world. The manager/owner what ever you guys were.....WHY ARE YOU SITTING AT THE CENTER TABLE EATING AND DRINKING!? If you were eating the same quality food we got served, what in the world is wrong with your palates!? The chicken filet dinner....first off just call it chicken teriyaki....it doesn't sound fancier by any means. What person calls themselves a chef back there with over cooked and mushy bok choy!? That plate was disastrous! What is with the thin strips of sauteed assortments of bell peppers!? Who can possibly mess up salmon avocado roll and spicy salmon!? The rice was so hard and dried up that I questioned whether they were pre made and sitting around or they don't cover the container of their sushi rice...which ever the case, it was disgusting and hard. The salmon was old and once frozen, and please do not even bother denying it. This place was more expensive than the sushi places with quality in the city! How can this be!? $9 for an Alaskan!? Salmon is generally the cheapest fish! What kind of avocados and cucumbers are you using that you think you can charge that much!? The roll was average sized too....I'm just so confused.... Please change your oil and use better batters for your fried calamari..... Thank you though for being next to the best gelato place in town! Dinner was repulsive but at least the dessert was amazing!

My boyfriend and I live a short walk away from Inari, so it's convenient when we don't feel like traveling anywhere. We have always had terrific servers and the sushi is good. It is, however, overpriced - especially if you order specialty rolls! I wish that they offered more specials, because then we might eat there more frequently. There is a sushi restaurant in Oak Park that we visit more often, because they have better prices and their sushi is just as good.. if not better!

Inari had a great vibe to it. I loved the decor. The menus were really cool looking... bamboo circles set in a clear plastic. The service was fantastic and we were seated right away. A warning for first timers.. call ahead and make a reservation if you are planning on eating past 6pm. We ate here on a Sunday evening and around 6:15pm the place started getting packed... there were people waiting for a table. The food was fantastic! I had the miso soup and we split four rolls. The tuna tempura was my favorite. I highly recommend it! There is no rice in this roll... all fish and that flash fried. We also had the gorilla roll, spider roll and the satsumaimo. All were amazing. I wish I had more room in my tummy so I could try even more rolls. The dessert menu also looked fantastic. I might have to come to Inari for just dessert one day. The only draw back to Inari was that it was kind of pricey... but I felt the higher prices were worth it for the quality of sushi and service we received. I look forward to dining at Inari again soon!

Got take out from here a few nights ago and I think it may have been the worst sushi experience I have ever had. We ordered tempura a la carte: $3.50 for two pieces of sweet potatoes, $3.50 for three pieces of broccoli, $4.95 for two of the saddest looking tempura shrimp I have ever seen. The rolls were okay at best, nothing that stood out and the Ebi shrimp and tobiko were too fishy smelling and tasting to be considered fresh. If you are looking for good sushi in the area, skip Inari and head to Sen. Better quality, better prices, better place.

The sushi was small, overpriced, and underwhelming. It was all fresh, so that is good. The crag ravioli was disgusting! Literally a piece of crab and a clump of cream cheese in a wonton roll. The sweet potato fries were soggy and soft, some pieces were not fully cooked. The whole meal felt lazily put together. Will not eat there again

Very nice atmosphere for a date (I went alone after work - sushi craving) and the service was nice. My favorite sushi spot is Japonais, but let's face it I was not going to make the drive and I wanted to give another spot a try -and I was not disappointed at all! I had the "Flamming Dragon" which I honestly can say was amazing! (Apparently they make their own creations, which is wonderful) The plate is still on fire when they bring it to you and put out at the table. The drinks are a bit pricey, but good otherwise. I will definitely go here again and try something new everytime.

Love everything about Inari! The food here is great, all the rolls are good, It is always fresh and has the BEST hot and sour soup. Great place to enjoy a drink too. I try something new here all the time because the servers are super nice and always introducing me to one of their favorites. Go here when you want good sushi and don't forget to try a Malibu Sun :-)

Just came here again a few days ago, pulled up Yelp to write a review, and I am quite upset with myself that I didn't have this at five stars before. I've been coming to Inari extremely frequently over the past year and have never had even a remotely bad experience. The service continues to blow me out of the water and the staff is beginning to remember me everytime I come in. There was a spurt (unforunately) that I hadn't gone to Inari for a couple months; when I came in months later they remembered me by name and continued their excellent service. The rock shrimp tempura STILL reigns champion as my favorite appetizer, and I've actually gone there and ordered two servings before (try it before you judge me!) Again the drinks were made very well. I ordered a Summer Dragon; a little sweet for my taste but still didn't disappoint. We had a few shots of sake which is always great. My friend also had some sort of seaweed soup, I believe, that I was very reluctant to try at first. It didn't take much convincing, after the first bite, I was sold. It doesn't have much taste for anyone seeking to be bombarded with flavor, but it's healthy and tasted just fine to me. Again, amazing place. I love it more everytime I go; I think I'll make another trip back by the end of this week!

Another place I went on recommendation and was disappointed. First - they wouldn't take my expired Groupon for the amount paid (a Groupon guarantee!). Then, I ordered 3 sushi pieces and 3 rolls and it was $80! Finally most of it was "ok" at best, definitely not blow you away sushi, but the tuna was very much on it's last hours and was not good!

This place has some of the freshest and tastiest sushi I've ever had and just a short distance from home. Have only had dinner here so can't comment on the lunches but the service is good and the rolls, incredible with exotic names and tasty ingredients.

I was starving and in the mood for sushi and I stumbled across this place right down the street in the middle of the Elmwood Park restaurant row. I was surprised that at 12:30 there was nobody here for lunch. I guess that this isn't a really busy area for people who are working and out to lunch, but not a single person. The waitress was accommodating since she didn't have anyone else to wait on. I did like that they had lunch specials - it is always nice to feel like you are saving money when out to lunch. They have a couple different options, one where you can get two or three rolls and then another one where it is one roll and then some pieces of sushi or sashimi. I got three rolls - spicy tuna, salmon avocado and shrimp tempura. All three were good with my favorite being the spicy tuna. I also got a few pieces of yellow tail. All of the fish was super fresh and delicious. My only complaint was that I ordered a sprite and they had those aluminum bottles. My sprite was pretty flat and I'm not sure if it was because of the bottle or just old? Great lunch spot. I would love to try some of the signature maki rolls sometime.

Solid four stars! Dined here for the first time last night and was very pleased. Ordered two martinis - Lychee and Pom Pom - both excellent and a couple appetizers to start. The fried crab ravioli appetizer special was yummy, but it was just a glorified crab rangoon for an expensive $9 for 4 pieces. Ordered the following maki rolls: veggie tempura (sweet potato), negi hama, king crab california, latin bliss, and the flaming dragon. The flaming dragon came out last and was truly on fire! At that point, all tables had their eyes on us because of the spectacle. It was cool, but I sure hope this place has good insurance! :) EVERY maki roll was amazingly delicious. Fresh, tasty, and wanting you coming back for more. For dessert we went with the cookie dough egg roll...which was all kinds of wrong (in a good way!). Yum yum yum and went right to my hips! Service was speedy and friendly. Huge plus.

I have been going to Inari for years. The food is always excellent. Today, I forgot to tell the server, Nora, that I can't have sesame seeds. When I told her they already had 3 of the 4 rolls ready but she talked to the chef and they changed them all and made them without sesame seeds. Great service.

My friend and I came here for dinner one night. The sushi was delicious, and unlike most sushi places, I left completely full. The atmosphere is really cool and hip, and they have a really awesome drink list. I want to go back just so I can try out some of their other drinks. I had the White Sand Beach, which was delicious : ) The service was great, our waitress was really nice and humored us quite a bit. She even laughed at one of my puns. Not very many people laugh at my puns, especially strangers. Once we were finished, we also receive a coupon to return for something like half off our meal. I can't wait to go back and use it : ) Thanks Inari!

Plum sake is the new black. Ok, not really, but saying something is the new black is the new black, right? Whatever the case, plum sake is my new best friend. Inari sushi popped up a little while back and I've been wanting to check it out but the hours were a bit weird (didn't open until 4:30,etc). Well finally I was able to make my way into this small but cute and modern place. They have half priced happy hour on Sunday through Thursday and everyone knows it! This place gets pretty jam packed. They also had a children's sushi making class going on which may have been better suited for a dull tuesday night. The wait for our food was horrific and I felt my blood pressure rising as my blood sugar dropped. Luckily, the food finally came and it was pretty damn good. Everything tasted really fresh and were made with care and not just thrown together. 3 people got pretty stuffed with drinks, edamame, rolls, noodles, etc for around $60. I'd go back for the happy hour specials.

I am pretty impressed by Inari; surprisingly enough, the owner of Massa, the Italian joint next door, opened this upscale sushi place a couple of months ago. Obviously the Italians can cook anything, even sushi; because their sushi ranks up with some of my favorite places. Limited seating inside, nice outdoor patio in front. They have a great sake selection; normally I am not a sake drinker, but I tried one that was quite mild tasting and very good. They've got some great maki rolls on the menu - the Red Dragon and Black Dragon rolls, along with the Hawaiian roll, was exceptional. Also, they have Amberjack on the menu, which is absolutely delicious served nigiri style. Wait staff was very nice and helpful - this is a definite addition to the regular rotation!

I was happy to find a Sushi place close to where I was working but will be looking elsewhere in the future. Totally disconnected staff, at least in my experience. Long wait for everything. decent presentation but tasteless food. Too high priced for the service, attitude, taste. Partially my fault, knowing the location I should have gone elsewhere.

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never noticed it. When I think of Elmwood Park, I think Johnnie's, not hip sushi bar. Although the atmosphere seems more in line with something you would find in a pretentious neighborhood, the staff is really laid back and you can tell they want you to enjoy your experience. The fish was really fresh, the rolls were generous (unlike the anorexic sushi rolls I usually get in Oak Park) and they have a great cocktail, wine & sake list. They even have a sake flight: for $20something you get four really generous pours of sake that would probably be enough sake for four people. And the desserts! They have a fabulous banana tempura that is divine and the Wafu Waffle is so unique--freshly made green tea waffles with green tea ice cream, fresh strawberries and honey....ohmygoodness!

Stopped by this place last night, usually come here once a month or so after picking up my cousin off work. Looks like there has been a lot of turnover since I've last visited, turns out the place is under new ownership. Most of the old crew have been replaced. I ordered the usual Sashimi platter and dragon roll. And we got some apps to start. The Seared Tuna was eh... nothing special. The popcorn shrimp was great!! Not the same popcorn shrimp you're thinking.... These are coasted in a semi sweet spicy sauce, but not enough to make them soggy, perfect amount of heat. We also got these fried spring rolls looking things that were filled with mushrooms and cream cheese. It tasted like the cream cheese was lightly infused with wild mushroom. They were fried perfectly, or were they drained perfectly??? Not greasy at all. The dragon roll appears more manageable than the ones from my previous visits. The old ones were larger, hockey puck sized even, but 2/3rd of it was rice. I like these a lot better, if I ever miss the rice, I'll just ask for a bowl of it. The sashimi is very fresh; for anyone that has been to Greentea Sushi in the city, the quality and freshness is the same. I suspect they are getting orders from the same monger. Ok enough about the food..... The service was ok, nothing special, what you'd expect from most places. Oh except that my drink arrived 10 seconds after I ordered it. The guy behind the bar must've heard me. The host/manager looked like he was going to fall asleep while standing, I too would've been tired if I was him. He was everywhere...answering the phone, greeting the guest, making drinks, entering orders.... Dude, you had at least 2 waitresses, let them do their job. But all in all, he was very nice and attentive. I'll probably go back in a month or two and see how they're coping. Oh and the dessert!!! They had this nutella donut with ice cream. We are usually fans of sweets but this hit the spot. It was not overly sweet. Im pretty sure the ice cream is homemade, (I saw a small ice cream maker on the counter). @ Jeff M. Food poisoning takes 24 hours to incubate. So you can blame it on wherever you guys ate the night before. Or perhaps.. Too much sake???

I've been to Inari a few times since it opened, and I've also gotten take-out (I work right down the street). The sushi is very tasty, the selection of Maki is yummy, and the service is pretty good. The managers there are friendly and the wait staff are helpful in describing the different rolls. Service is average to fast. I love the spicy Tuna roll and the "Japanese Nachos." Quite yummy, in my opinion!

I came here for the first time a few nights ago on Sunday evening. I was on a date so it was the perfect spot since it's a cute little cozy restaurant. I'm not huge on Asian but this was a good place! The staff was friendly and helpful (at times). I ordered the dynamite sticks which contains a spicy shiitake cream cheese filling rolled in a crispy shell, served with a light ginger soy sauce and spicy chili sauce. I didn't try the ginger soy sauce since I don't like soy sauce but the spicy chili sauce was amazing! I also ordered the autumn dragonfruit drink, as recommended by our server. I asked her to recommend me something fruity, but the only thing fruity about that was the real strawberries in my drink...other than that it tasted kind of bland. It tasted a little like water with a tiny hint of strawberry flavor but very miniscule. I wouldn't recommend that drink. It looks pretty but doesn't taste like much. For the first time ever in history, I tried some sushi roll...which I've been very scared to do since I don't eat raw things but then I found out not all sushi is raw. This was an exciting life-changing moment for me! I'll be trying more sushi now, and not scared to! Anyways, I would definately come back just to try the other things on the menu for sure! I can't give it 5 stars because I haven't tried enough menu items and also my drink recommendation wasn't great. But other than that the staff was friendly and it's a very clean atmosphere. Their bathrooms are maintained, which is always a plus.

My first time to go there with a couple of my friends....my one friend went there a few times on a Saturday and she said that they didnt have to wait that long. The food was alright ( just not too thrilled about the quality and service). Id rather go to Paradise or Midori for half the price with better service! We went on a Thursday night. The restaurant wasnt busy, they had a few customers. My one friend ordered a salmon entree and me and my other friend ordered two different rolls (which I think wouldnt take 20-25 mins to make). Well, we waited that long...good thing my friends and I were busy chatting and catching up and didnt mind the wait...

My husband and I went to Inari over the weekend and were almost pissed off at how much everything cost. For the two of us to eat it was $120 dollars. We each only had one drink - he had a beer and I had a sorry excuse for a martini. The rolls were nothing special. The restaurant is going for more trendy instead of quality. It took several tries for the waitress/sushi bar to get our order right and some of the food came half way through the meal. There was not enough variety of rolls and a lot of the choices involved tuna. What do they have against salmon and everything else? I also get very wary of anyone trying to promote a half-priced sushi day on Sundays. The first thing we think of is not fresh sushi. If you are thinking about going here, keep looking. $120 for sushi in Elmwood Park is ridiculous.

My bf and I have been here multiple times and we agree that Inari serves us delicious, fresh, flavorful and interesting rolls time after time. Every time we come here, we have great service and really delicious sushi, and it's consistently great! It may be a dollar or two more expensive than other sushi places, but it's probably the best place for sushi that we've gone to in the suburbs. If we want guaranteed fresh and yummy sushi, we come here. There's a roll with lobster that we call the "cadillac of sushi" that's to die for... it's a little rich but fabulous! It's a little more expensive ($16) but we got 10 pieces in the roll!

I'd say the best part about Inari is the outdoor seating. The food was good (but too salty), the service was good, but the people watching was the most fun. With a cuban place on one side and an italian/gelato place on the other, it's an interesting mix of folks. I love this little strip of restaurants, but for my next sushi fix I'm sticking with Sagano.

Well I was surprised to see a local sushi house open up close to me. I was hoping to see this place become my new often visited sushi house. This was not the case in an way. I went to Inari sushi about 1 week after it opened for dinner. Let me just start off by saying that they need a little more space. I am pretty skinny and it was hard for me to even get to the sushi bar. As me and my wife sat down we ordered California rolls with masago(smelt fish eggs) and I think it was a dragon roll as well as 2 steak Teriyaki dinners. After waiting about 45min to get our food I was already infuriated. When we did get our food it was amateur tasting at best. first off the dragon roll tasted like cream cheese. not being a really big cream cheese person I took it out of my mouth in a flash. So that was strike 1. Next up was the California rolls right away when I got it I saw that it looked weird reason being is that it had salmon eggs on it. So I though eh I'll try it this one time. Not a good idea. That was the worst sushi I had ever had. Not only was the salmon eggs nasty but the cucumber tasted like it had been pickled. That was strike 2. Last was the steak Teriyaki. This was alright until I got to the fried rice. It was very crunchy or undercooked. when I got the bill I was surprised that it was so expensive I think it was about $65 before tip. I had a good laugh when I left this place as I overheard a manager ask someone what is this pointing to an order of California rolls. Know it might have been that it was because they were new and the owner of the place owns massas next door and hes Italian or what but maybe some day I will go back and give it a second chance but until I do I say this is not a good place to go.

3 of us went into Inari on a Monday night to celebrate my brother's birthday, but we didn't last more than 10 minutes. There was one other couple in the restaurant and when we walked in, a football game was blaring from the sound system. Not only was a football game not really fitting for this swanky looking sushi bar, the sound system was completely horrible....it was full of static and had an irritating tone. We complained to the one waitress/bartender that was there, but she was unable to fix the problem. Other than the horrible noise from the stereo, the owners were sitting at the rear of the restaurant talking SO loudly. We all felt like we could barely hear ourselves think over all the distractions. We ended up leaving and going to Sushi House on Lake Street where we were greeted with warmth, a quiet atmosphere and warm towels. We won't be back to try Inari.

Decided to try Inari with my family. I have to say that we lucked out with the half price deals on rolls and drinks. We ordered about 5 different rolls and even though we had plenty it was a good choice now we know what to order and what not to order. My husband and I love sushi we have eaten at Kaze, Butterfly, Coast and our favorite Mirai's. After eating at Inari's we agreed the service was great our waiter was helpful and always making sure we were good. We will be coming back for sure, but only during the time slot for half priced rolls and drinks. Only because since we already know what excellent sushi tastes like we know that Inari is not worth paying full price for. Dont be discouraged of bad reviews you might enjoy it as we did.

I've been here on 50+ occasions and I will keep going forever! We found this place through groupon and have not stopped since. We usually order a bunch of food for pick up to have at work almost every Wednesday or Thursday for months and months now. They are quick even when they are busy. Fish is always fresh! For quality I think they are priced just right. Now eating on location has been a great experience too. I've taken several of my friends here and they all have enjoyed it. Service is great. The girls that work the tables are so sweet and friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone who loves sushi! Any roll is delicious and their appetizers are amazing too. Also get the garlic edamame. I will say you will never go back to regular edamame again.

Great restaurant for sushi. The staff was very helpful and the prices are superb! Will be going back soon.

(4)Ashley A.
(5)Brian F.

(5)Athea G.
(4)Yvonne O.
(3)Adrienne B.
I love Inari Sushi! I come here at least once a month ! I have tried other sushi places in the suburbs, but Inari beats them all!! great sushi and friendly staff !! In the summer it's great because you can sit outside! I highly recommend Inari Sushi!
(5)Mario Z.
(4)N P.
(2)Peter B.
(5)Victoria M.
I liked it! I love the UDON soup and the coctails are fab!! I like the Mojito here...its not like a normal one!! The sushi is good. It is a little pricey...but its worth it!! Seating outside is very nice, esp on a hot day in the city!!
(5)Jennifer Q.
(5)Nessie V.
(4)logan j.
(3)Julie T.
(4)John T.
(3)Bella G.
Good sushi and good service. Love this place.
(4)Angie H.

(3)Nilda R.
(5)Mike D.
(4)Jessica L.
(2)Mischa D.
(2)Mo C.

(3)Pawel B.
Best closest place in Elmwood Park area, During summer they had special karaoke nights which was fun to watch

(4)Arlene G.
had a $30 gift certificate here so decided 2 use it with my gf. of course the food was delicious! i did not expect less than that. service was good 2. nothing but positive things bout this place & will keep on comin back!
(5)Ellen M.
Ambiance is nice. Staff attentive. Prices more expensive than I would have expected. (Don't order drinks, even non-alcoholic. for example $5 for tea) Sushi is average. Will not go back with my family of 6. Not enough bang for our buck.
(2)c d.

(4)Max R.
This was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting to find such good sushi, great tempura and quality service in Elmwood Park. Very happy to have Inari close by.
(4)Samantha C.
Best thing on the menu is for sure the calamari. It's the best I've ever had. It's ligtly breaded, not thicker then the fish like at most places. The sauces are the best! The sushi is pretty good. A little overpriced and small selection, but very fresh. The staff is pretty friendly.
(3)Joe R.
New owners. Was better, now our new favorite. It was much improved with the new ownership. The special Ravioli role, melted in our mouths. We'll definately be back. The heated seating outside in January was perfect.
(5)Molly N.
Went to Inari for the second time last night, and was really disappointed. The sushi didn't seem very fresh and the rolls we had were kind of bland. Plus, it was really expensive! $110 for just my husband and me. Left feeling cheated.
(2)Omar S.
(4)Caterina C.
I loved the Godzilla rolls, the staff was friendly and patient as they explained the menu to my 9yr old he loved it!
(5)Sabrina T.
The place looks nice inside. I was very pleased with the food. Our sever was very friendly but she made a minor mistake and I over heard the management scold her, it was very disrespectful and it's a shame because I probably won't ever eat here again because of it. Booooo learn how to talk to people.
(2)Jessica M.
(3)Mike D.
Decent Sushi, convenient location. Went there for lunch, had a platter. not bad, but I think there are probably better places to be found.
(4)Meg G.

(3)Joy T.
I am continually ordering and dining here. They have great customer service, clean and the food is the best sushi I've had so far. Will continue to order from here.
(5)Nora C.
(4)Naomi V.
There is a couple of us that love their lunch special! Three rolls with soup for like $13! Spicy tuna is our favorite! Shrimp tempura is another favorite. They have a couple of great speciality rolls as well, just ask the waitress. Super friendly place!!! Love them! They got great appetizers and desserts too:-)
(5)Mary Jo T.
Terrible Tempura was soggy. Ordered an entree and it did not come with rice nor miso soup Never been to a Japanese restaurant like this Sushi was ok, service was good but not enough Avoid the place at all cost
(1)George H.
(4)Violet C.
Love it!
(5)Haroula K.
(1)Olya K.
(1)Nicole K.
(1)Brian H.
(4)Dania M.
BARF!
(1)Stephanie W.
One of my favorite sushi places! Good prices, big portions and have never had a bad experience. Hidden gem!
(5)Ivette C.
I have been here twice in this place and both times I was dissatisfied. The flavor and consistency it's awful! The service is questionable and do are the prices. I really wanted to like this place, but I have to pass and continue to go to Oak Park for better quality sushi!
(1)Oscar S.
Nice little spot to grab some sushi.I've been here multiple times.Always a good experience. They even have an outdoor area where people can eat if they choose.Good location.Parking hasnt been an issue as long as Im willing to walk a little.Inari is my GO TO place for sushi.I try to order something different everytime I come in.Had the DIVER MAKI today.DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! Im definetely a repeat customer. =-)
(5)Olga K.
My favorite sushi place! The best miso soup and Dragon rolls in Chicago area. Highly recommended!
(5)jeff f.
Good.. Fresh. Nice size rolls. Nice selection. Seating area Kind of small. A little expensive BUT I will be back!
(4)Denise K.
(2)Eugene S.
Awful. To go order, spicy tuna roll was smaller than those cucumber rolls from jewel. The other 'crunchy' roll was deep fried. Place stunk too. Will never go again
(1)Amporn O.
They have best Uni Sushi. The staff are all very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I'll definitely be going back to Inari Sushi next time when we are in Chicago. The food is very fresh. I highly recommend Inari Sushi.
(5)Mary Ann C.
(3)Maranda T.
Sushi is really good The ambience is amazing. A bit overpriced but all in all good sushi for the area.
(4)Nichole M.
(4)Kassandra L.
(4)Kate K.
(5)Susie C.
(3)Maritza M.
(5)Dino B.
(5)Popo M.
Fish are very fresh and the rolls are tasty, my favorite was the rock shrimp tempura and the latin bliss roll. Im not an expert in japanese food, but this place hit the spot! Will be back next time im in the area again!
(5)Neuman K.
(1)CJ B.
(1)Tarah B.
(3)Taylor M.

Huge plus.

wow, the extra white tuna! and the SakeMartini? So so good, Elmwood Park, when we need a very small break from Italian food, this is it!!

This place has pretty good sushi. It is also conveniently located, however it does feel a bit crowded as there is not very much space. Overall the sushi and drinks are pretty good!
